Allard Paint Distributors, ‘The Kings of Colour’ is Canberra’s leading Automotive, Industrial and Marine Paint Distributors.
Allard’s required a site that provides for them:
- An appeal to current and future customer,
- A web presence of the business online,
- A catalogue of their product lines for customers to view,
- Information tools and advice to support customers.
Our Approach
As Allard is the premier paint supplier regionally, the site had to reflect the quality and standard that Allard supply. We worked closely with their staff to capture the essence of their business and craft the schema for the online catalogue.
Our approach for this assignment was to:
- Work closely with their staff to capture the essence of their business and desired look and feel for their web presence,
- Craft the schema for the online catalogue,
- Future proof the catalogue for future growth with the business,
- Capture the requirements for the catalogue platform,
- Design and build the system,
- Provide on-going support for sustainment and growth of the business.
The Design
As the business revolves around high-quality surface finishes, it was important that site reflected the type of businesses they were dealing with to appeal to their customers. It was important to provide visual cues and information through tools, imagery and videos. We were able to incorporate these into the site to provide a profile of the business and the sectors it is serving.
The narrative of the site was evoking the passion of colour and what it could do in transforming a customer’s project.
The Result
The website is growing to become a key asset for Allards. More visitors are coming to the site and it’s allowing their customers to see what’s available prior to ordering.
